Southern Water has gone out to tender with a wide-ranging customer services contract worth an estimated £55,650,000.
The contract covers a wide range of customer management and associated services, including front line customer contact operations, billing, payments management services and associated back office processing services.
The water company wants to engage a Single Strategic Provider for the direct or managed provision of the services.
The contract, which will run for five years, also has further renewal option of up to 3 years.
Southern Water is looking to invite up to five suppliers to bid for the work. The agreement will be awarded to a single legal entity. The water company said that while consortia will be considered, they must be represented by a single lead bidder and be able to demonstrate commitment to forming a single legal entity.
Suppliers will be expected to show Demonstrable Compliance in a range of areas, including:
- Data Protection Compliance.
- Payments Cards Industry Regulations Compliance.
- Suitable IT security systems and protocols.
- Appropriate disaster recovery systems and procedures.
